Subscription Q&A

What do I receive?

You’ll receive one paperback book per delivery, curated to your chosen genre:

  • Romance
  • Fantasy / Romantasy

There are no additional goodies as this subscription is all about the book.

Within those genres, selections may include:

  • Soft or spicy romance
  • Epic, cozy or dark fantasy
  • Romantasy with strong romantic arcs
  • Emotional, character-driven stories

We avoid extremes or niche subgenres unless a book has wide appeal and comes highly recommended.

Every book in our subscription is personally selected by us, an independent bookstore run by readers who genuinely love romance and fantasy in all their forms. We choose each title with the same care we would if we were recommending a book to a friend.


How often can I receive a book?

You can choose from plans which either deliver a book each month in our monthly plans, or a book every 3 months in our quarterly plans.

You can change or cancel your subscription at any time before the next billing date.


When am I charged?

Your first payment is taken when you sign up.

After that, payments are collected on the 21st of the month prior to your next delivery.

This allows us to order stock specifically for subscribers and ensure availability.


When will my book be dispatched?

Books are ordered after the 21st and are typically dispatched at the start of the following month once stock arrives with us. Dispatch timing may vary slightly depending on publisher availability, but we’ll always keep you informed.


What kind of books do you choose?

We select books based on:

  • Strong reader appeal
  • Excellent storytelling and world-building
  • Popular and emerging authors
  • A mix of traditional and independent author publications

Selections may include new releases, hidden gems or titles you might not have picked up yourself as that’s part of the fun

 

Will I receive a book I already own?

While we can’t guarantee duplicates won’t happen, we aim to select books that feel fresh, exciting, and widely appealing. If you already own a lot of books in your chosen genre, surprises are part of the experience.

 

Why Paperback?

We’ve chosen paperback editions because they’re:

  • More accessible
  • Easier to enjoy anywhere
  • Better suited for gifting and collecting

Our focus is on the reading experience, not excess packaging or filler items.

 

Is this the same as your book club?

No, this is completely separate. Just a great book, chosen for you.
