This little shop is run by me (with help from the dogs, who are always ready to say hello!)

As an avid childhood reader, like many, reading took a back seat as life took over.

Then, a few years ago, a friend recommended a book called A Court of Thorns and Roses (if you know you know) and my reading spark reignited! 

My love of fantasy and romance titles knows no bounds and I adore a beautiful bookcase.

I started Throne and Heart as a total career change with the aim of bringing together a community of readers, sourcing special editions and supporting other small businesses and authors.

Supporting those small businesses is central to my ethos for us. Alongside the books themselves, I have carefully curated a selection of bookish gifts and accessories. By shopping with us, you are not only supporting our business, but many others too.

As our community continues to grow, through things like our amazing book club and events, I am forever grateful to those who choose to support an independent bookstore in these modern times.

We're online and you can find us at Harborough Indoor Market, Leicestershire on Friday and Saturday each week from February 2026. We also have further expansion plans across 2026 so watch this space!
