Welcome to my new chapter

It all begins with an idea.

And a book.

One book to be exact - ACOTAR. Like millions of others, I was drawn back into the world of reading by none other than Sarah J Mass. As a child, I was always an avid book reader and audiobook listener (on cassette tape nonetheless!). Growing up, I moved away from reading, as many do, the pressures and rush of life always meaning there was something else to do.

Having been drawn back into the literary world, I rediscovered my absolute passion for all things fiction. After some personal changes as well as a work restructure in 2025, I am taking the plunge into the world of being a bookseller. As a total novice, I am definitely feeling my way as I go but I am incredibly enthusiastic to bring people new stories and beautiful books (I’m also hoping for a good night’s sleep once all the ideas swimming round in my head start to settle through coming to fruition!).

My goal in 2026 is to launch into this new world and to connect people back with reading and the incredible places it can take you, especially as an escape from reality which can all too often feel overwhelming in today’s modern world. The ultimate aim is to start an actual shop - a safe haven as it were - for readers, enthusiasts and those who may have their curiosity piqued by a pretty shop window to stop by, browse new titles and just maybe take one home to give a new home on their bookshelf.

I couldn’t do this journey without the support of my amazing husband and family. My two dogs, Max and Betty will also be staples of the business and do keep your eye out for them in some of our marketing features and merchandise upcoming.
