Start of book club and Lilac Library stockists

2026 has gotten off to an amazing start already. I have enjoyed meeting every single one of you at the pop-up events and to see the same faces coming back each week is still one of the absolute highlights of the job. Building a wonderful community of readers has always been one of my key objectives for Throne and Heart. I even lost my voice last weekend from too much talking about books...

Our first book club meeting was held at the end of January and I really couldn't believe how many people had gotten behind us to sign up - and what a group it is! Everyone is incredibly friendly and welcoming and I can't wait to see everyone again this month wither further plans for exciting books and box items over the coming months.

One of the absolute highlights of the past couple of months has undoubtedly been linking in with the fantastic Lilac Library as a stockist of their beautiful special editions of romantasy titles. Popular ones such as The Crowns of Nyaxia by Carissa Broadbent have already flown off the shelves and I have already had to quadruple our initial order for Quicksilver copies releasing this month! Sadly they are only available to purchase in person, which I appreciate does mean a bit of a drive for some, but on the upside, it will be wonderful to meet so many like-minded bookworms and fans of the genre!

Lilac are very keen to support independent bookstores as part of their business ethos and have been wonderful to deal with. I cannot wait to see where the partnership goes and everyone needs to go and check our their quarterly romantasy (and now also romance) subscription boxes!

We have some incredibly exciting news in the pipeline which I hope to share with you all over the coming months. For now, I look forward to meeting faces both new and familiar, at our weekly pop ups Friday and Saturday in the Indoor Market, Market Harborough, Leicestershire for fantasy, romance, special editions, signed copies and bookish gifts and accessories, all of which also make the perfect gift for book lovers.
